RESIDENTS REACH NEW HEIGHTS

At a recent resident meeting, the notion of residents going on a helicopter joy flight was well received. With keen interest in such an activity, the activity staff and a volunteer went ahead and took 10 residents to Port Campbell for a scenic joy flights over the 12 apostles. Some of the residents had previously taken this flight, but for most it was their first time. Alice, a 93 year old lady, who has always wanted to do this, has been able to enjoy a life long ambition. Alice’s daughters, her grandchildren and great grand children were all there to watch her take this joy flight.All residents enjoyed their joy flight, and have discussed their thoughts of doing this again, possibly even a longer flight next time. However, our next challenge is to find another activity as exciting and enjoyable for our adventurous residents; maybe will we go hot air ballooning or skydiving. Back to Home
